Q1. What is the minimum or maximum age to start piano lesson?
A.1 I have taken from 4 years old to 78 years old students. Anyone who wants to play the piano is welcome. However, kids need to sit still and communicate.

Q.2 Do we need to buy a piano right away?
A.2 No. I recommend the rental piano.

Q.3 Do you offer any discounts?
A.3 We offer no discount.

Q.4 Are their specific start times for new students?
A.4 No. New students can start anytime of the year.

Q.5 How long and how frequent are the lessons?
A.5 The standard lesson is 30 minutes. 60 minute lessons are recommended for accelerated learning.

Summer Break

If a student plans go on a trip the teacher needs to be informed regarding this absence in a reasonable amount of time to arrange the lesson.

Q.7 When the recital is held?
A. The concert in 2017 will be on Sep 24th Sun.

Q.8 What if I couldn’t get a convenient time for my lesson?
A.8 You can put your name and your favorite time on the waiting list. SJPS calls you when it has the vacancy for your lesson.

Q.9 Where is the location?
A.9 SJPS is located in West San Jose. It’s 2 minutes from West Gate Mall by car and 3 minutes on foot from Baker Elementary School.

Q.10 Do you have trial lessons?

A.10 Yes. Please contact SJPS for the available lesson day/time slot.  Then you will have about 20 minutes of piano/sólfege lesson and an additional 20 minutes of consultation with student and parents. It will cost $30.
