🎵Who is the Teacher at SJPS?🎵

Hi, I am Ari, the piano and music teacher. I came from Tokyo Japan 18 years ago.

After graduating Music College, I became a music teacher at my high school while teaching piano at my home.

When I was 24 years old, I wanted to expand my world and starting English Literature at a University in Tokyo. Obtaining a B.A in English, I started working at an art gallery in Ginza Tokyo.  I enjoyed playing keyboard in the Jazz band after work.

I am scared of hysteric piano teachers and torturing piano lessons. Don’t worry! SJPS doesn’t have that kind of teacher IF you practice decently.

When I am not playing the piano, I write picture books. You can see my works at Amazon or Kinokuniya Book Store San Jose.

I understand how nervous or shy a new student can be. When I meet a student at the first time or when I play in the concert, I am super nervous. However, it is also an exciting time for me. Talking about the student’s goals is my way to overcome that nervousness and understand the best way to meet the student’s goals.
